Regional FSMA Seminars
The NGFA hosted 16 regional seminars in 12 states during 2016 and 2017 to educate industry members on the far-reaching new feed safety rules being promulgated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Preventive Controls for Animal Food Course
Currently, the NGFA’s FSMA education and outreach efforts include delivering the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) course that provides detailed training on FDA’s final rule for current good manufacturing practice and preventive controls for food for animals.
To do so, the NGFA and Kansas State University are partnering to conduct FSPCA training courses to assist animal food facilities in complying with requirements established by the animal food rule. The Preventive Controls for Animal Food Courses are held in Manhattan, Kan., and are designed for industry personnel interested in learning about FDA’s new animal food safety regulatory requirements that affect all sectors of the feed industry.
